With a two-day exploratory visit(28 and 29 January 2021), the education inspectorate wanted to gauge the impact of the changing contexts (scaling-up, financing decree and corona crisis) on the course participants and examine how the center is gearing its policy to this.

The inspection team investigated the impact of the changing contexts on the vision and strategic policy, organizational policy and educational policy of the center.

These are some of the conclusions from the report:

  • The vision of the center is strong and provides direction for teaching practice, distance learning, counseling, student evaluation and professionalization.
  • The center pays particular attention to a participatory policy.
  • The center will systematically deploy the necessary human resources to realize the changed measures and agreements.
  • In response to changing contexts, internal communication to team members and course participants is transparent, complete and on time.
  • The center excellently stimulates professionalization, sharing of expertise and teamwork.
  • The center has a clear view of its strengths and its work points. It preserves what is good and adjusts its operation in response to established working points in function of changing contexts.
  • The way the center is handling this during the corona crisis is an example of good practice.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone that took part in the survey organised by the Flemish Education Inspectorate. We received an excellent report, which is a strong stimulus to continue to optimise our operations based on the input we received from you and our staff.
